Joel has practiced across most areas of insurance law and has developed a particular experience dealing with complex, multi-party claims arising out of fires and the attendant issues around expert evidence and quantum assessment.
His professional indemnity experience has involved acting for lawyers, accountants, property managers, real estate agents, engineers, architects and medical professionals in response to civil claims, statutory prosecutions and investigations. He has a particular interest in assisting medical professionals responding to AHPRA investigations.
He has acted in a number of personal injury matters and high value subrogated recoveries and also regularly advises on coverage with a keen interest in complex indemnity questions.
Pragmatic by nature, Joel prides himself on his ability to adapt effectively communicate with stakeholders from all backgrounds.
Joel is a member of the Young Insurance Professionals Association and Australian Insurance Law Association.
