Jamie has worked as an insurance litigation lawyer since 2003. His practice includes defending public and products liability claims, marine claims, professional indemnity claims as well as Employment Practices Liability and Management Liability matters. Jamie has acted in the defence of catastrophic personal injury claims, compensation to relatives and nervous shock claims as well as claims against an array of professionals. In the Employment Practices Liability and Management Liability area, Jamie has acted for employers in numerous unfair dismissal applications, general protections disputes and anti-discrimination claims as well as SafeWork and other regulatory investigations and prosecutions.
Jamie has acted in the defence of claims in SA, NSW, Victoria, QLD, WA, the ACT and overseas.
Jamie has worked for a mutual liability riskpool created by New Zealand local authorities and for a specialist underwriting agency in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Gilchrist Connell, Jamie was a solicitor at a specialist insurance practice in Sydney.
