Jacob is an experienced lawyer having practised in both South Australia and Queensland. He specialises in employment practices / management liability and professional indemnity. In addition, he has broad experience in commercial litigation, coverage disputes, product liability, governance and recoveries.
Jacob acts for employers in safety matters, including investigations and prosecutions following workplace incidents, and in employment claims including unfair dismissal, discrimination and general protections. His professional indemnity experience includes defending claims against a wide range of professionals, including accountants, lawyers, engineers, architects, software designers, financial advisors, and real estate agents.
Jacob has experience litigating claims for both insured and non-insured clients across a range of State and Federal jurisdictions, including achieving commercial negotiated resolutions through formal and informal means of dispute resolution.
He is known for understanding his client’s needs and providing accessible and efficient advice directed towards client and matter specific outcomes.
Jacob has a keen interest in community sport and the organisations that make it happen, working closely with sporting associations ranging from peak bodies to the grass roots level.
