James Spartalis
James has practiced solely in insurance law since his admission in 2018. He has experience across multiple lines of business including casualty, professional indemnity, and recoveries. He also advises insurers on complex indemnity issues and AFCA disputes.
In addition, James is a member of the workplace team. He has acted in numerous employment disputes including unfair dismissals and general protections claims. He regularly attends conciliation conferences and other hearings in the Fair Work Commission as well as the Federal Courts.
James has also performed secondments at two major insurers which involved managing a large portfolio of claims. This in-house experience has given James a strong understanding of the corporate needs of our insurer clients.
In addition to his Bachelor of Laws James holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management).
