Christopher is an insurance lawyer with a practice that focuses on the defence of personal injury, property damage and professional indemnity claims.
He acts for insurers, self-insureds and corporations located in Australia and overseas. He represents a range of insured persons and entities in the defence of both litigated and non-litigated simple and complex liability claims.
He frequently appears and has instructed Counsel in matters in the Local Court, Magistrates’ Courts, various District and Supreme Courts of all states and territories in Australia, and the Federal Court of Australia.
He has acted in several royal commissions and commissions of inquiry in the region. He has significant experience in respect of the resolution of sensitive claims including historical sexual abuse claims and claims arising from international aviation disasters.
Christopher is known for his “hands on” approach and is accessible, responsive and gives plain English advice. He is known for his strategic mind and for providing considered and commercial advice.
Christopher has had the privilege of representing a member of the Australian judiciary in proceedings before the Judicial Commission of New South Wales.
