Bhrig’s years of experience and expertise in work health & safety and employment law has him providing strategic advice to a range of stakeholders. He has also practiced in the areas of insurance and commercial litigation since 2009. In Bhrig’s broader practice, he represents professionals, including accountants, financial advisers, directors, lawyers and building industry specialists in negligence cases.
Bhrig takes a considered, yet pragmatic approach to resolving disputes arising from his matters. His experience in these areas extends across a range of industries including insurance, finance, manufacturing, building, IT, hospitality, not-for-profit, logistics, agribusiness, professional and business services, education and the public sector.
He advises employers, insurers, educational authorities and individuals on a range of workplace-related matters including statutory prosecutions, discrimination, employment disputes, sexual harassment claims, unfair dismissals, and disciplinary and regulatory investigations. Bhrig has been on-site in the aftermath of serious and catastrophic incidents, advised clients through investigations and represented clients in both trials and coronial investigations.
Bhrig regularly acts for insurers and self-insured clients under management liability, employment practices liability or similarly named policies. This has also positioned Bhrig well in regularly providing coverage advice to insurers, brokers and other stakeholders operating in the ML, EPL and professional indemnity space.
