Gilchrist Connell awarded Insurance Team of the Year

National specialist insurance law firm Gilchrist Connell had its breadth of experience and expertise formally recognised last Friday night when it was announced as the winner of the Australian ‘Insurance Team of the Year’ at the 16th Annual Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards.

The 2016 Australian Law Awards received a record number of submissions from firms across the country. Gilchrist Connell was selected as the Insurance Team of the Year ahead of nine other eminent finalists, confirming its position as a leader in the provision of specialised legal services to insurers and self-insurers.

This award is yet another addition to Gilchrist Connell’s growing collection of recent accolades having been named as the fourth fastest growing legal practice in The Australian 2015 Partnership Survey and being ranked first with highest proportion of part-time fee earners in a recently published survey (The Australian, 15 July 2016).

“When it comes down to it, the thing that really matters to us – and what keeps us motivated and in business – is our effectiveness at delivering outcomes for our clients,” said Gilchrist Connell’s Managing Principal Richard Wood.

“Having said that, this award from Lawyers’ Weekly together with survey results such as those from The Australian give us some reassurance that the way we go about delivering those outcomes for our clients is sustainable commercially and socially for us as a business, an employer and a responsible corporate citizen,” Richard explained.
